More Patpong Street scenes at night. A lot of activity until the wee hours of the morning. Western ladies are not unwelcomed and are not treated with the same disrespect that many such areas in Western countries do. It is worth a visit just to say that you have been there!

Another area for nightlife in Bangkok is what is called Soi Cowboy. A soi in Thai means small street and thus Soi Cowboy is a one block long small street of bars and other nightly shops. It is the closest thing you will find on the planet that duplicates the bars of Southeast Asia during the Vietnam War. It is wide open, to say the least, but is not as dangerous to the foreigner as Patpong can sometimes be. The girls will not hassle you if you do not want to be hassled and the whole place is extremely laid back. It is, however, part of the nightlife so caution is advised.
