Bangkok 2
Bangkok is not a Third World City. Since my first visit in February, 1976, I have been amazed at just how modern it is. I have also been equally amazed at just how exotic and unWestern it can be. Bangkok is actually like a big, luxury oceanliner parked off the coast of Thailand. Leave Bangkok and you enter a developing nation.

Bangkok has all the modern conveniences of any big city in the world. To prove this, I went around looking for things that would be typical of any big city.
